Only sign-up your swimmer as attending if your already registered and paid for the entries on the FastSwims website. Please forward the entries to [email protected] This is a split session meet. 12&un race in the morning, 13&up race one hour after the morning session concludes. Coach Jessica will be coaching the Saturday AM swimmers. Coach Katie the Saturday PM and Sunday AM and PM swimmers. PM swimmers should plan on arriving about 12:30-45pm. The AM session should end by 1 at the latest. Warm-ups will begin right away. AM Swimmers: Please arrive at the pool with plenty of time to check-in and be ready for warmups by 8:00. Coach Jessica will meet all 9 and up swimmers at 7:55 under the scoreboard. Please make sure to wear your Barracuda cap. USA Meet Check-In is not with Barracuda coaches. It is at a table set up near the entrance to the pool. You will most likely see a line of swimmers. Your child, not the parent, must check in. The adults running the check-in table will help. They need to initial next to their name. If they do not check-in, 30 minutes before the meet start, they will not be entered into their event. I cannot fix it. They will not swim their events. Please watch your child check-in before you go find a spot to set up. This is very important. There is not a designated area for teams, so I suggest you share tents with each other or caravan or meet somewhere at the pool if you wish to set up together. This will be a big meet. I suggest finding an area in outside the pool to set up. If you leave the pool deck area and set up in the back by the tennis courts there will be more room. First Day of Fall Practice

JRSC is offering a Fall Swim Session to help our swimmers continue to condition & develop during the "off-season". We are also adding dryland workouts this year.

Please email Coach Katie to register for the assessment. [email protected] Please have your child wear a swim team type suit, not trunks and swim shirts. They will need a pair of goggles and a cap if they have long hair. Towels are available for the children to use after the assessment. The assessment can take up to about 20 minutes depending on age and ability. It will run like a short swim practice. Fun Friday

We are having a fun Friday team building event during practice this Friday 7/10! We want to build the team spirit for our Red and Blue intrasquad meet and prepare to swim fast! We will be holding regular practice for levels 4 - 6. Levels 1 - 3 will have some 13-18s join their group. We will be working on dives, turns, fast finishes, and racing. We will be doing mixed age relays and then have activities on deck after practice. We will have so many fun things to do: a Champs Poster making station, a clothes pin craft station, a spirit/tattoo booth, a BYO t-shirt to tie dye station, and a water ballon toss station. We will finish off with hotdogs, watermelon, and chips for lunch. Level 5 may begin with the on-deck activities at 10. The other groups will participate in the on-deck activities after their practice. 13-18s, we need your help in the water cheering on the kids in levels 1 - 3 and working with the adults to run the other stations. We need some of you to help with the craft stations, lunch prep, water balloon station, and others to participate in the practices. Please sign up so I know where you would like to help. This is a great way to help serve your younger teammates and have some fun! You will have a chance to dye t-shirts once the little kids have finished. Thank you so much for giving back to the team! All swimmers who wish to tie dye a t-shirt need to bring a pre-washed white t-shirt in a ziplock bag with your child's name written on the outside. We will supply the materials to dye. Please RSVP and write in the comments if your child will be dying a shirt. Please have your children drop their t-shirt off at the die dye station before practice so that the volunteers can help tie them up while they swim. After they finish practice the shirts will be ready to dye. Any parents who would like to help this fun Friday run smoothly, please sign up to help or text Coach Katie 916-879-3296. Go Barracudas!! |
