JRSC WINTER SWIM (Nov 15 - Jan 30)

JRSC 2025/26 WINTER SWIM

  • November 15th 2025 - January 30th 2026
  • 5 Practices Per Week: Monday - Friday

(Note: Winter Swim Nov15-Jan30 is a separate registration)

Coaching Staff

  • Coaches are currently committed to the Fall Program are: Coaches Dave, Katie, Joey, & Rosie 

Practice Groups

  • Minimum of one season with JR Barracudas or other Swim Teams is required to participate on JRSC Fall/Winter Swim.
  • Swimmers coming from programs other than JR Barracudas will need to be assessed before being placed in a Practice Group (Coaches may accept submission of valid race times in lieu of on-site assessment)
  • Swimming experience requiredCoaches will assign swimmers into the 3 following practice groups: 

  White Group: 4:00pm - 4:45pm 

  • Ages 7-12 with at least one season on the team that are not yet legal in all strokes. 

  Red Group: 4:45pm - 6:00pm 

  • Ages 9-18 and up that are legal in all four strokes. 

  Blue Group: 6:00 - 7:30 pm 

  • Ages 11+ and up that are ready for an increased speed and advanced workload 

Note: 

  •   Only 2 Coaches are planned to be on deck for most workouts.
  •   No practice on Thanksgiving Day and the Day after Thanksgiving.
  •   No practice the December 24, 2025, through January 2, 2026.

  • New accounts will be sent an email confirmation message with instructions to set up a password.
  • Previously registered parents/guardians cannot be edited during registration. Please contact your team's admin to request edits.

JRSC Team Policies

PARENTS COMMITMENT

  • Ensure my swimmer(s) arrives to practices on time, as set by the coaching staff
  • Ensure my swimmer(s) is as well rested, hydrated, and properly nourished as possible for practices and meets.
  • Set an example of good sportsmanship through positive behavior and communication.
  • Agree to the Volunteer Policy as needed if swimmers are participating in any Fall/Winter Swim Meets.
  • Adhere to Alcohol and Tobacco policies as described in both the Handbook and the Rules of Johnson Ranch Sports Club.

SWIMMERS COMMITMENT

  • I will wear appropriate swimwear, goggles, and swim cap (long hair) to practices as directed by the coaches.
  • I will be on time (as defined by the coaching staff) to all practices and swim meets.
  • I will show respect for all facilities and other property (including locker rooms) used during practices, competitions, and team activities.
  • I will refrain from foul language, violence, behavior deemed dishonest, offensive, or illegal.
  • I will not use, possess, or be associated with any alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, or any illegal substances.
  • I will always maintain a cooperative and positive attitude during practices and meets.
  • I will refrain from bullying. If I witness bullying, I will notify a coach or a parent.
  • I will respect myself and those around me by doing and being my best.

SWIM TEAM LOCKER ROOM ETIQUETTE

Remember that we share this club with other adult members who have a right to use the showers/locker room in good condition and in a calm environment.

Conduct yourselves appropriately and treat the club and its members with respect at all times!

  • Limit your shower to 5 minutes!
  • Absolutely NO misuse of soaps, lotions, etc.
  • NO towel snapping or any other horseplay at all.
  • NO use of cell phones in locker rooms for any reason.
  • Keep the noise level down and conversations appropriate. Socialize on the pool deck or in the Kid’s Club.
  • Keep your swim bag/gear tidy and do not spread out all over the locker room.
  • Place ALL used club towels in bins in the locker room or at the front desk. Do not leave towels on floor or benches.

Failure to adhere to the above rules may result in a loss of privileges, suspension and/or expulsion from the team. Please do your part!

Medical & Liability Waiver

I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian for my child(ren). I hereby give my permission for any supervisor, coach or other team administrator associated with the Johnson Ranch Barracudas to seek and give appropriate medical attention for our child(ren) in the event of accident, injury, illness. I will be responsible for any and all costs associated with any necessary medical attention and/or treatment.

By registering my child(ren) with the Johnson Ranch Barracudas, I agree to participate (or allow my child(ren) and family members to participate) in the Johnson Ranch Barracudas, and hereby release Johnson Ranch Barracudas, its directors, officers, agents, coaches, and employees from liability for any injury that might occur to myself (or to my child(ren) and family members) while participating in the Johnson Ranch Barracudas program, including travel to and from training sessions, swim meets or other scheduled team activities.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above mentioned organizations and/or individuals, their agents and/or employees, against any and all liability for personal injury, including injuries resulting in death to me, my child(ren) and/or other family members, or damage to my property, the property to my child(ren) and/or other family members, or both, while I (or my child(ren) or family members) participating in the Johnson Ranch Barracudas program.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Any swimmer who withdraws from JRSC Fall Program prior to September 2nd, 2025 may receive a full refund of their registration fees, less a registration processing fee of $25 per swimmer.  After September 2nd, 2025 all registration fees are non-refundable.
