Barracudas Streamline Newsletter 4/20
Happy Monday Barracudas! We’ve got a lot of important information in this email, so be sure to read through it all and take notes.
SPLASHDASH! - Our annual fundraiser and social event has been booked! Join us on May 20th for some fun, swimming, raffles, food and more! This is our main fundraiser for the season that allows us to provide extra activities and supplies for the team.
DECLARE YOUR SWIMMER: ALL meets are open for you to declare your swimmer. What does that mean? It’s basically like RSVPing for the meet. It allows our coaches to plan ahead and understand who is going to be at the meets and place swimmers in appropriate events. Please log into your account on the team website and go to the Event Calendar to declare your swimmers for the season. Note: You MUST declare your swimmer by the Sunday before the meet. This allows coaches to plan accordingly.
NuYo NIGHT: TOMORROW — Join us at Nuyo for a cool treat. From 3pm-7pm all proceeds will be donated back to the Barracuda’s. Be sure to bring or show the attached flier upon purchase to make sure your purchase gets counted.
STROKE & TURN PIZZA PARTY: Wednesday (4/22) 6-7PM at Johnson Ranch South Snack Bar. Parents can have a slice of pizza and learn about being a VIP stroke & turn judge. If you have additional questions please email Courtney.
KIDS PRACTICE STARTS LIKE SWIM MEET: Please make sure you swimmers attend at least one of the following practices, Wednesday (4/22) or Thursday (4/23) where we will bring out the starter machine and practice starts with whistle commands as done in a swim meet. This is vital for any kids not familiar with what the whistles mean at the start of each race. (hint, the whistle does not mean dive in!)
LOST AND FOUND: Please check out the room on the pool deck and the front desk of the club for lost items. There is quite the collection of fins, goggles, caps and water bottles that have been left behind.
PRACTICE: There is NO practice on Friday, May 1st. There is a pickleball tournament that week and the facility will be very busy!
The May calendar is posted (and attached) so make sure you have all of the important dates on your calendar. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a great week!
