2025 Season Wrap Up!
Hello Barracuda Families,
It was great seeing so many of you at Awards Night last Tuesday and/or at Meet Of Champions for our “final-final” Championship meet of the 2025 Summer Season this weekend (because one final “Champs” meet just isn’t enough, right?).
What a way to end the year! With only 36 swimmers at MOC, we managed to rack up 1,018 points, winning the Small Teams Division and even scoring 3rd overall. Not too shabby! It was a tremendous team effort, highlighted by six of our swimmers landed in the top 4 point scorers for their age groups (out of more than 100 competitors in each).
And in case you missed it, our 11-12 Boys Free Relay of Erikson Elcock, Gustav Tuleu, Alec Galachyan, and Luke Ho shattered an 11-year-old record by a second (which is a lot) and… fun fact, that record had also been held by the Barracudas! What a legacy!
Looking back, I think it’s safe to say: this season was a big success for the kids & the Team.
- Our kids got faster. Across more than4,000 swims this season, a whopping 70% were Personal Bests. That’s a huge testament to their hard work—and to the fantastic coaching Dave & his staff put together this season.
- The pool deck vibes were great. A better-balanced meet schedule, upgraded timing systems (with real-time results on your phone!), and a focus on Social & Spirit that made this season feel… well, FUN!
That said, we’re always looking to make things better!. We did things differently this year and some things changed, maybe not all for the better. We’re all volunteers and we’re doing the best we can, so tell us what you loved, what you didn’t. We start planning next month to make next year a success, so now's the time to let us know!
To help, we've made the 2025 Feedback Survey super simple: just a 1–5 scale and a space for comments, PLEASE fill it out.

Thank you all for your commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm. It takes a village to run a team like this, and I’m grateful to share the deck with you.

P.S. Fall Swim is available for all swimmers and a great way to let the kids maintain what they developed this season without having the commitment expectations for meets & practices. How serious you want to be is up to you(‘re kids). Some kids want to swim/compete all year, but many don’t, which is ok. My my kids only went 1-2 days, most weeks in the Fall last year and we still noticed less of a drop-off in strength & conditioning from end of season to beginning of season from prior years. Either way, If you’re interested Fall Swim registration is open.
