Dear Barracudas Families,

We hope you all enjoyed our meet against Rio del Oro last Saturday. We got to watch a lot of close and fast races and our teams were in the end separated by just 21 points. What a great win for our amazing Barracudas. We are looking forward to seeing the Rio swimmers at our league championship in July again.

Our next meet is this coming Saturday at the Roseville Aquatic Center against the Woodcreek Seawolves. The individual entries are already listed on our webpage. We will publish the relay entries and a preliminary program as soon as they become available. Sign in at the RAC will be between 6:45 and 7:00am.

Word from our Coaches:

We would like to thank all of the parents who have been volunteering at the swim meets and also to all the volunteer leads.  Even with the delays at the last meet, we received several comments on how welcoming and friendly our team was, and how well the meet was run.  Thank you from your coaches!

Next week begins our morning summer practices.  Please check the windows on the pool deck for which level your swimmer is to attend and at what time.  There may be a change of lane assignments for your swimmer because we are adding one more level of practice. We will post the lane assignments next week.

Please arrive 10 minutes early for the practices next week, as we are very tight on time in the summer.  We appreciate all that you do to help your kids get the most from their experience, and the support you have given the team.

Message from our League Rep Jenni Sanders:

The yearly Meet of Champions is scheduled for August 1/2 and will take place in Woodland. This meet will bring together the best and fastest swimmers from over 40 teams in the greater Sacramento area. Swimmers can qualify by either time or by swimming into the finals at their league’s championship. The information about qualifying times, etc can be found on our webpage under the “Swim Meet” tab and the official webpage for this yearly meet is www.meetofchampions.com.

Hello Parents,

Please plan on attending the Barracuda's Got Talent Night with your family and enjoy the kick-off of summer with friends and watching the swimmers perform. I do encourage that we get swimmers of all ages. Swimmers are able to sign up the evening of the event but it is helpful to know prior to the evening. There are signup sheets posted at the window to the café. Please also check the social calendar and upcoming events on the home page for the fun activities planned for the season. Stay tuned for more to come.

Picture day will be on June 17^th between 7:30 and 10:15.

6-10 year olds need to arrive 10 minutes prior to their individual age group times.  All other swimmers need to arrive at 8:50 for the TEAM Photo.

The café will be open with breakfast specials, we will be having a bake sale, and barracuda wear blowout!

Message from our Volunteer Chairperson Lisa Gulino:

Hi Barracuda Families!  Just a reminder to have your swimmer to their age group tent at least 2 events before their race.  This is even more important at our away meets since the kids won’t be familiar with the facility. We encourage all swimmers to come and hang out in the age group tents with their fellow teammates to play games, do an activity and just talk to get to know each other better.  Ideas to bring to the tent are a sleeping bag or blanket, a game/toy or an activity.  It is a fun place to be!

The first day of summer practice starts Monday, June 15^th.  Come celebrate the morning with donuts!  Every swimmer gets a donut after their practice to savor the day ahead and celebrate the start of summer!  Bring your coffee!

BARRACUDA BAKE SALE (Wednesday, June 17^th , 7:30am-11:00am)

Hey BARRACUDA Families,

Picture day is next Wednesday with a lot of hanging around the pool. Sooo….  Why not eat!

Support our BARRACUDAS and bake, make or buy goodies from our family bake sale.  Everything is encouraged.  Please bring something yummy with you the morning of picture day.  We will have a table to display the treats.  You will be able to purchase the treats throughout the morning.
