The meet results for Saturday's meet are posted here. It was a very nice meet and we enjoyed hosting the Rio Linda/Elverta Aqua Knights. Our kids swam great races and we actually had a total of 259 personal bests. The Aqua Knights had 77 personal best times with only 47 swimmers. What a great day for all of the kids. Our next meet is on Saturday, June 21 against Rocklin Wave. This is our next conference meet. Please make sure you mark the blue binder by Tuesday. JRRC Barracudas @ Rio Rapids What a great meet! We picked up a lot of towels, blankets, etc. from the tennis courts at the end of the meet. Please have a look this week and claim your belongings. Also if you picked something up that was leftover at any of our swim meets please bring it back so that we can reunite it with their owners :-) A special thanks to Sandee Darragh and John Schoeppach for helping with entering all results manually that became necessary after a computer problem prevented it to load the swim results automatically into the computer. We appreciate your and all volunteer's help! The Rio board and coaches would like to extend their thanks to our team for our patience while they were troubleshooting a computer problem that prevented the meet to start on time. Our next meet is on Saturday, June 14th at our pool against Elverta/Rio Linda. Please sign in/out in the blue binder by Tuesday night. Volunteer assignment is already posted for this meet here.

here Welcome to Swim Team 2008 We are looking forward to seeing all your kids smiling goggle faces, new and old! We can't wait to get started and now it won't be long. We look forward to a year where everyone has success and contributes to the making of a great team. Do you know what time to bring your swimmer? We will be evaluating them on their swim abilities in the first two weeks and moving them to a level that is appropriate for their ability. So until you are notified by the coaches otherwise, the following guideline has been set up.
We may be moving your swimmer into a different level (practice time), as we see needed. We also want to emphasize that once your child is placed in a particular level, we will expect to see them at practice in only that level. What if it is raining? We will have practice if it is raining as long as there is no lightning. If you have any questions for the coaches, please e-mail us (click here for a list of email addresses) or you can try to catch us in between practices. Please try to have your kids come on time and make sure they have goggles, fins (no zoomers) and swimsuits that are appropriate for swimteam practice. (Please do not come in trunks or 2 pieces and make sure the goggles fit properly). Many of these items are available at the NorCal Swim Shop in Roseville. Please bring your own towels each day to swim practice because the club would prefer us to do this, thank you. On that note, Wednesday April 9th we are going to have a CRAZY Towel Day. Please have your swimmer bring the craziest or most favorite towel to swim practice. Have them bring them out for the dry land training (time spent on the pool deck before getting in the pool), and lay them out for everyone to see. Check out the website
for many resources and the swim
calendar with upcoming age group social events in April.
We would love to see your kids attend these! Go Barracudas!! Your Coaches Thanks to all new swimmers and our returning swimmers for being at our registration nights. If you still have questions about the registration process please contact our registrar Keri Reno. The following age groups have been closed for the 2008 Swim Team season:
All other age groups are open and we still accept registrations (please see the Front Desk at the South Side of JRRC).
